What is Kingdom and Command?

Kingdom and Command is a play-by-post correspondence roleplay game, meaning players take turns writing letters to each other from the perspective of their chosen characters.

The game takes place in a fantasy kingdom and is played by writing, crafting, and posting unique real-world letters. The game mixes a player's own narrative and creativity with a topic generator that players can use to help them decide what to write about.

It's an exciting game for writers, roleplayers and world creators.

Cards, dice and coins form the tools for the topic generator.

Real-world letters are at the heart of Kingdom and Command. 

Players take on the roles of two cousins, both high-standing officials in the ruling family, choosing their role and character traits.

A war threatens to tear the kingdom apart, and the cousins are pulled apart on expeditions to separate and distant regions of the kingdom, leaving behind the capitol and their usual council. Unfamiliar times lie ahead.

The siblings correspond via eagle mail, and throughout their correspondence plan the war and dictate its events. 

We include detailed and comprehensive how to sections on tea staining (probably one of the funnest techniques for letter creativity), letter folding and wax sealing. 

When will it be available? 

The game is currently in the playtesting phase and we are also in the process of getting artwork done for the front cover.

However, please be aware that the wicked Wargames partnership has split. That said, we intend to finish Kingdom and Command and are in the process of figuring out how to go about that. Next update is due in mid-late autumn.
